Ayahs for the heart
Mercy and a fresh start
And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allāh will find Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
Whoever does wrong, then seeks forgiveness, finds Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allāh will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
Repentance can turn past wrongs into good, by Allah's grace.
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves , do not despair of the mercy of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
Allah calls you back with mercy, even after many mistakes.
And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allāh has ordained for you. Indeed, Allāh loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."
Allah loves those who turn back and those who keep clean.
You are not alone
So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.
Remember Allah, and He will remember you.
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than jugular vein.
Allah is closer to you than your jugular vein.
And when My servants ask you, , concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me that they may be guided.
When you call on Allah, He is near and answers.
If you do not aid him - Allāh has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allāh is with us." And Allāh sent down His tranquility upon him and supported him with soldiers you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allāh - that is the highest. And Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise.
Do not grieve. Allah is with those who trust Him.
Patience and ease
Indeed, with hardship ease.
The promise of ease is repeated so you hold on.
For indeed, with hardship ease .
With hardship comes ease.
So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are believers.
Do not lose heart. You are called to stand with faith.
And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allāh - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allāh will accomplish His purpose. Allāh has already set for everything a extent.
Whoever relies on Allah, He is enough for them.
Allāh does not charge a soul except its capacity. It will have what it has gained, and it will bear what it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.
Purpose
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
What comes later will be better for you than what came before.
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, , nor has He detested .
Your Lord has not left you, and He is not displeased.
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
You were created to worship Allah.
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allāh is with the doers of good.
Those who strive for Allah are guided by Him.
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allāh. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allāh hearts are assured."
Hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah.
Knowledge
Recite in the name of your Lord who created -
The first command to the Prophet was to read.
So high is Allāh, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, , do not hasten with the Qur’ān before its revelation is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."
Ask Allah to increase you in knowledge.
Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing , fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, ? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember people of understanding.
Those who know and those who do not know are not the same.
O you who have believed, when you are told, "Space yourselves" in assemblies, then make space; Allāh will make space for you. And when you are told, "Arise," then arise; Allāh will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allāh is Aware of what you do.
Allah raises those who believe and those given knowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do Muslims believe?
Muslims believe in one God, Allah, and that Muhammad is His final messenger. Faith also includes belief in the angels, the revealed books, the prophets, the Last Day, and Allah's decree (Quran 2:285).
Who is Allah?
Allah is the Arabic name for the one God, Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has no partner and none is like Him (Quran 112:1-4).
Do I need to change my name after becoming Muslim?
No. Keep your name unless it carries a clear meaning of worshipping other than Allah. Many companions kept their names after accepting Islam.
What is the Shahada?
The Shahada is the testimony: there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Saying it with belief enters a person into Islam.
Will my past sins be forgiven?
Islam teaches that sincere acceptance of Islam wipes away what came before it. The Prophet said this meaning in Sahih Muslim 121. Keep turning back to Allah after that (Quran 39:53).
What are the five pillars?
The Shahada, the five daily prayers, zakat (charity), fasting in Ramadan, and Hajj for those who are able. They are the core practices of Muslim life.
How do I learn to pray?
Start with the basic movements and short chapters such as Al-Fatihah. Learn step by step. Ask local Muslims or use our Q&A for specific questions.
Do I have to wear hijab right away?
Modest dress is part of Islam for men and women. Grow into it with knowledge and sincerity. Focus first on belief, prayer and leaving what clearly harms your faith.
Can I still speak to non-Muslim family?
Yes. Islam commands kindness to parents and fair dealing with people, even when they differ in faith (Quran 31:15, 60:8).
What if my family rejects my choice?
Stay patient, keep good manners, and do not cut ties without need. Ask Allah for ease. Many new Muslims face this and find support in community and dua.
Can I keep my job and studies?
Yes. Islam does not ask you to leave honest work or useful study. Avoid work that forces clear disobedience when you have a real choice.
What about friendships from before?
Keep kindness. Choose friends who help you stay on the straight path. Distance yourself from settings that pull you into sin, without being harsh.
I feel lonely. What helps?
Pray, read short passages of the Quran, and join a local mosque or study circle when you can. Remember that Allah is near when you call (Quran 2:186).
Where should I begin on this site?
Start by reading the Quran with a translation, then explore the library and blog. Use this page for ayahs and FAQs, open Understand Quran when you want deeper study, and use Q&A when you have a personal question.
Which translation should I use?
Start with a clear English translation such as Saheeh International or Hilali and Khan. Arabic is the source text. Translations help you understand meaning.
Do I need an account?
No. Reading and many lessons work without an account. Signing in saves progress, notes and badges if you want that.
Who can I ask for help?
Use the Q&A page on this site, contact info@tahautopia.com, or speak with a trusted local imam or teacher for personal rulings.
Is this page a fatwa source?
No. These answers are short guides with Quran and hadith references. For personal rulings, ask a qualified scholar.
